10 Questions – 10 Answers
Where would you like to wake up tomorrow morning?
Still next to my wife, the way I am currently privileged to do, in a space and time where it doesn’t matter which part of the day I happen to wake up.
Can you name a book, a movie, a piece or a song, which you think is about you?
Jim Carroll: The Basketball Diaries
What was your greatest rebellion as a teenager?
My lifestyle must have looked like a constant rebellion, in the spirit and consciousness-expanding approach of Jim Morrisson and Arthur Rimbaud.
What would you do, if you wouldn’t be doing what you do now?
I would be a jazz guitarist or a fine artist, maybe I would run a café in Paris or on the beach.
What year would you type into a time machine, and why?
28-09-1999, the day I turned 18, and vomited myself into adulthood in a beach rock pub next to Barcelona. I would like to revisit that night ‘as a guest’ as well.
What are the first three items on your bucket list?
To own a gallery and a café; an apartment in Paris; at least 1 month of touring (traveling) the world with my wife and later with my kids, but if that sounds too much, then simply a trip around the world, for at least a half to a whole year.
When and how do you get your best ideas?
During driving, or alone on my way home after delirious creative meetings.
What is your oldest piece of clothing?
A worn-down, black and white, grunge-style pullover.
Is there one fact about you, which would surprise others if they would know it?
The toxic intake of the last one-and-a-half decades.
How do you see yourself in ten years?
I am still working in the cultural field, with a better schedule, in a harmonic financial situation and as a responsible father of my children.
